The Sorcerer's Apprentice
Well, I saw the movie, and it wasn't horrible. Which was a nice surprise. It was incredibly formulaic, yes, and a lot of things were... just stupid... but it's a Disney live-action, so what can you do. There were some good solid ideas floating around in there. It's not every day that you find a magic/science fusion premise that actually works when followed through to its ultimate conclusion; it was something that had a lot of potential for a serious story/series.
So I decided to gank a few elements and make a serious work of it. It'll be my NaNoWriMo project for next year if I don't get started before then, but if anyone's interested in tracking my progress my DeviantArt account is shoesncandles. ^_^
