At the end of the day

The week has come to an end. In the twinkling of an eye, it's already Friday. And my last entry was dated Monday - it seemed as if I blogged just yesterday.

I don't plan to bore you with the usual - ultra long and wordy entries that describe the mundane (that's what I'm really good at). Instead, I'm going to spice this entry up with a few pictures taken the past few days, though I'm not very confident that they can summarise the week thus far. It has been a really turbulent one (just like all other school weeks).

My school held its National Day Celebrations today, and the principal invited a guest speaker from the Singapore Women's Everest Team to deliver a motivational speech about her experiences while summiting the daunting peak and also, conquering one's personal Everest. Actually, I've also attended a speech by another one of the team members during the FOP. The account I listened to today was just as inspiring, though. Just how many climbers can achieve such a feat?

In view of the celebrations, my class was also appointed to visit a neighbourhood kindergarten. Over there, we had to perform a National Day-themed dance for them, and also impart to them the symbolic significance of Singapore flag. It was rather tough to coordinate the children, but I had a really fruitful experience anyway. Visiting that place really reminded me of the days when getting your crayons snatched away was the worst thing that could possibly happen.

Headed to Tampines 1 for lunch after our service, and I went back to school shortly after meeting up with Joel & Ron to meet Mdm Yanti & Winifred for an English Oral consultation session. Rushed off to White Sands after that. Studied with JYJY, then travelled to Faith's house with Yu Yun for the cell group meeting.

... I feel like Superman. ;)

After a somewhat manageable 'O' Level Physics SPA exam and an utterly horrible A. Math mock exam, I proceeded to torture my brain cells further by signing up for Night Study with Hui Jie, Li Ting & Jun Jie. Laughed a lot, and it seemed as if we did more slacking than studying. It was worthwhile, though.

Wednesday morning was spent with my cell group mates. Had a chat over breakfast, and ended up running late for school. All I can remember about school from that day was the "arduously" long Chemistry lesson (may really be arduous for Christon who had a little case of indigestion), and Mrs Tan's ridiculous approach - letting us mark our Geography mock exam papers for our classmates (just because she's way too busy to set aside some time to mark the scripts for us, I guess).

Tuesday was rather bad because of the Biology 'O' Level SPA exam. It was pretty challenging, but I managed to complete the paper, albeit on the dot. Couldn't recall anything from that day besides the exams and well... the peanut butter waffles.

All in all, I had a pretty productive week. Time to be productive in my academics. :/
