Not to incur the wrath of people suffering in the heat, but I think this air conditioning thing really isn't for me ( Read more... )

My place has good ventilation so it's better than most even in hot weather. No wind is no wind, though. It's been a dead calm for days and I don't have any fans. If the place is cool when I come home, then it's pretty comfy with the windows open in the evening.

I'm not too bad in the heat. I felt kinda gross sweating all day when I worked at home on Monday - that's why I gave the air conditioning a go on Tuesday. But if I'd been at work that day, I probably wouldn't have bothered with the air conditioning in the first place.

I have it going today, partly because I don't know how Carmen will fare in the heat. She hasn't figured out that she can go downstairs to the basement if it's too hot. But she was staring pitifully out the balcony door hoping I'd open it this morning, so I think even she doesn't mind the heat all that much.

Other than that, I haven't gone out to exercise because my asthma kicks in too much for cycling or my lame attempts at jogging, but I don't mind heading out for a walk or going to yoga.

Congrats on your new digs, btw. I think I have the same bowls as you - but only 3 - 1 blue, 1 green, and 1 yellow :)

In the winter, on those crisp, cool nights, I could curl up in a drift of snow and sleep like a baby. This heat makes me sleep like the dead, more akin to passing out than to sleeping. I am not a fan of the hot weather.

My asthma has been pretty good this week, oddly.

They are fun, functional bowls. The new place it pretty sweet, thank you!
