so i'm still alive. just about. venice was amazing. but 3 days is definitely enough, there are so many tourists, it's pretty crazy. still haven't been arsed to get my b&w film developed but someday i will and someday i'll post them, if they're any good. the palazzo ducale is so amazing. it just took your breath away. and the basilica too, i may not be religious, but churches are one of my favourite places. the best one by far was santa maria della salute, purely on aesthetics.
this was one of our first views, typical venice i reckon. even got a gondolieri in there!
the rialto bridge, our hotel was pretty close by.
this is from the top of the campanile, the tower in san marco square. the statue of fortune is right on the edge of the coast and the santa maria della salute is the huge church on the right side of the photo.
this is the santa maria della salute. it was a bitch to photograph because it's right next to the canal. but it's so beautiful.
this is san giorgio maggiore, the monastery on it's own little island. taken from the top of the campanile
this is the view from the belfry of san giorgio maggiore.
the basilica in san marco square.
the basilica from the side (next to pallazzo ducale)
down some little side road there was a little courtyard of sculptures, this one was super cool, and there was a huge one but i only got it with the b&w so photos coming sometime soon maybe
the academia gallery. also where i met a nice young hot chap. then found out his name was antonio =/
the bridge leading to academia. taken from a vaporetto, i loved those little boats. boats > buses anyday.
okay this is totally sad and silly, but can you believe they had tiptree jam in venice??? i think they thought i was crazy when i just walked in, took a photo of some jam, and left again. haha. proud to be essex!
everyone there is so beautiful damn them. i shan't bore you all with detailed descriptions because it wouldn't do them justice, but woah the boys are just woah. swoon was the word of the weekend.
my mum bought me a bootiful scarfypashmina thing which i love. it's very chicxcore.
next time i feel like a photowhore i might let you see.
it was nice because i had a chance to get away and think bout stuff. i don't think i resolved anything in my mind, but we walked like ten kilometres a day so i knackered myself out to the point where i stopped overthinking everything, which can only be a good thing.
so apart from that i've been pretty busy with stuff. actually did some revision, and last night i did a mechanics paper and got 56/60 woo! hopefully i'll get a really good mark on that so pure 3 won't drag my grade beyond a b otherwise byebye ucl =(
went to a last breath rehearsal on saturday which was cool. adrian was there too. went on a beer run and bought chocolate cookies which ended up getting thrown at nathan's face (of course i had nothing to do with it, how dare you suggest such a thing?). the new guitarist, jack, seriously adds something to the band. he's actually got avenged style riffs and just skills. paschal's drumming has got way better too, i think it's because he's actually been paying attention haha.
saw a bit of bob's band too, with francis, ditton, paulton and the other two who's names i can't remember, but i remember they've been over my house and one of them told me to watch baseketball, which is very random. but yus, they are very good. francis' screaming really impressed. and paulton is awesome on bass.
lots more things happened but i can't really remember them all and even if i could, some things are just nice to keep in your head i guess.
yay last week of school!
wednesday is a last breath gig in brentwood if anyone wants to come?
hope everyone is okay
