Living in a box maze.

Crikey. I am moving on Sunday and I have 75% of the apartment in boxes right now. This morning I realized I had packed all the extra bowls and forgotten to wash the dishes last night so I had to have cereal out of a dirty bowl from the dishwasher because I was too lazy to wash it first. It was probably my own cooties though. We're also running low on the food front but I refuse to go shopping until after we move. So we've been living off pasta, rice, eggs, and cereal for the past week. It's taken a bit of creativity to be able to create halfway decent dinners from them.

It is impossible to leave the boys alone in the apartment though for it's total chaos and Bailey loves him some cardboard to chew. So that means no running errands, and having to haul the boys along with us when we want to over to the new townhouse to drop things off. Speaking of, the first time we brought the boys over they were so terrified of the sound the garage door made and the strange surroundings that they refused to get out of the back of the wagon and instead ran away to the front when we tried to get them. Eventually they came out but by no means did they like the house, tails were tucked, there was mohawk hair on Bailey's back. When we finally had the chance to look around the townhouse on our own I got into the kitchen for the first time. It definitely needs a good scrub. And when I opened up the fridge.. omg. Stinky! And old! And small! They have a newer range and oven, a newer microwave, a newer dishwasher.. but the fridge, yikes! We're looking into purchasing our own and storing that one in the garage. I am a kitchen snob and need new, nice appliances after suffering with apartment grade crap for the past two years. But seriously, who knew a nice fridge would cost nearly a grand? That's just for a basic side by side one, the french doors -- double opening top fridge doors, bottom pull out freezer -- which I really want would force us to drop two grand. Not happening, sadly, so I'll settle for a nicer, but cheaper one. If I could only ever get out to compare prices on things without fear of much destruction at home.
