I passed!
I PASSED!!!
I passed Old Greek!
I'm still not sure how exactly I pulled that one off, but I'm incredibly happy and relieved. So, so happy, and so, so relieved. You wouldn't believe.
Somebody looked out for me, I'm sure of it. I liked the text for the written exam, I actually managed to translate it in the three hours given without starting to cry in despair or hitting my head against the table because I couldn't figure out the tense or meaning. I knew that you can translate a Greek subjunctive as a commandment when it's taken from the Old Testament, I wasn't confused by participles. And I got the same text in the oral exam as last time, which ... okay? We're not telling that the examiner, right? Anyway, I went into a church after the exam and lit a candle, saying thanks, and it felt right.
Also, thanks to Tine So., who has been a rock for the last few months, always cheering me on. Thank you, Tine. And thanks to
hockeyiris, who always listened to me cursing the language. Thanks a million, hon.
And now, party post! (And holidays, oh gosh, yes ... the first warm day in ages and I'm finally free to enjoy it. And tomorrow I'll be at the beach -- yeah me!)
So long, and thanks for all the fish.
