ROLLERCOASTER
Haven't updated my journal in awhile so I figured I would.
School is pretty awesome. All my fashion classes are on Monday & Wednesday. I thought draping was going to give me issues, but Anny's really nice and I didn't do nearly as bad on my first exercise as I thought I would. I think I just need to actually remember my mistakes and do better next time.
On the 31st, I had my French class and almost immediately afterwards went to the Gamestop at the mall to get Other M... and I came away with a used Wii and a preorder for Kirby's Epic Yarn to boot. And hahah this game. This. Game. I was doing pretty well for the first bit, only dying once or twice on bosses... then came the first time you go into Sector 3. And the difficulty went up to 11. There are so many "Press X to Not Die" moments right at the beginning, and you constantly take damage in superheated areas because Adam is a fuck and won't let you use the Varia function on your suit so you, uh, won't. BUT I got past that and fought a pretty fun boss, and did pretty well for awhile longer... then I died again against the giant mech a traitor is trying to use to crush you. Frustration happened, but was subdued by pretty cool cutscenes. Ridley's coming up in a bit. Trying to prepare myself for it as well as more incoming plot.
Last weekend was animefest! numisma came down and we had a good time. It was nice to see everybody again :)
After she left Tuesday, I got my kitty. I named her Meryl after Metal Gear Solid Meryl. Because I am a dork and she's kinda whiny. She's really playful. I mean, really. She runs around like all the time.
Wednesday, Dad called me and told me Winston, our oldest schnauzer, has really bad cancer. He's probably only going to live for a couple more weeks. I knew this was coming because he's gotten really old, but it's still kind of a shock. I'm going to visit him Friday before work.
I think that's everything. orz. I've just been really busy x_x
