But the earthquake in Chile this morning put paid to that.
ginmar put it succinctly -- it seems like the Ring of Fire is unzipping itself and readjusting. Good thoughts and donations heading out to the Chileans, and I hope to God Hawaii and the rest of Polynesia is battened down and ready for the tsunami.
Closer to home, the first release of the year for the Death Star is finished, and we're still trying to sift through the aftermath and get it past a manager I like to refer to as the Hurricane without him deciding WAY too late that he doesn't like what we did and we should reformat it (waves to the other person on LJ who's involved with this but won't name names because the only person who should worry about potential firing is me). To call the last couple of weeks "stressful" is to suggest that Dick Cheney may have a slight problem with the Geneva Convention -- I got to take Friday off because I worked last Saturday, and I'm only now starting to unclench. You know the day job is getting to you when you dream about editing PowerPoint decks and sorting out To Do lists at night. And the next person who says, "Well, at least it's a job" is going to get a crack in the kneecap.
I am a writer, correct? Because sometimes with this job I forget.
