Grading day

Mar 01, 2020 18:28

Today was the Daventry grading for White to brown belts. The assistants help out with the admin and organisation. My job is registering the students as they arrive and giving out the numbers. It's nice to see the kids we work with every week progressing through the grades. There were a lot of kids there today - the Rugby club has grown enormously in the last year, with a lot coming through from the after school club.

There were only about 10 adults all together, so they split them into two grading groups - grades that don't spa (White to red) and those that do (Green to brown).

It's a good day, but as this was one of the few dry and not very windy weekend days so far this year, I really could have done with spending time on the allotment. I managed half an hour in the garden when I got home, as this week is the garden waste bin collection. I managed to get quite a lot of ivy and other rubbish cleared out, then came in to watch the footy. I managed to get a stew in the slow cooker before I went out, so tea will be ready soon.

Dav is always the last of the coloured belt gradings. Our levels grading isn't until the end of the month, so I've got two more lessons to get my head round things.
