Storywriting and Crisis in Egypt
It's been a while since I've posted. Lots of real life business and work and stuff, but I've found some time to update on what's been going on.
Simwise I hadn't really been playing for a while until last week. Schoolwork has tired the daylights out of me and it just wasn't possible. Nevertheless, I would like to participate in SimStoCreMo if it's not too late. Is there a link to a comm. page or something where I could see what I have to do? I would like to get an update out this month hopefully, but I can't find a page / rules for it.
In other news, I have been planted in front of my TV for the past few days watching CNN religiously. My half-Egyptian side of my felt really sympathetic for the people who are falling into the crossfire of these horrible protests, and my grandma has been able to make contact with some of our family members who live in Cairo, but she's only been able to say a word or two before the connection was lost. I'm scared for them, I really am, because from what she told me those who aren't protesting in the streets of Suez, Alexandria and Cairo (not to mention every other city in the country) are locked in their homes with limited food supply and whatever weapons they have in case the protesters violate their property to steal or kill them. At this point the death toll is dozens, and I'm praying with every ounce of my heart and soul that this gets better soon. :(
Anyway, I'll keep posting. I've found some time to be simming and on the internet again regardless of the chaotic lifestyle I'm sorta trapped in. -_-
