My birthday
It was pretty good. I started the day with a hair appointment. My hair is now about three inches shorter than it was and a warmer shade of brown, with highlights. I like it. Mom paid for it as a birthday present. I think she was just getting tired of how scraggly my hair was looking, but haircuts fall to the bottom of one's spending list as one's funds diminish. It's cute now, though.
This evening, we all went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner, which was lovely. Then I went to see Brave with Seth's family. Loved it. The most common criticism of it I've seen is that the script isn't as tight as Pixar's usual, and it was fairly predictable. That said, though, it had Pixar's usual great characters, with Emma Thompson and Kelly MacDonald at the center as Queen Eleanor and Princess Merida. It also had Pixar's usual strong story. Plus, of course, gorgeous animation and beautiful music. Overall, I'd call it a win.
