Children of Earth

I think that's the end of TW. They blew up the Hub and killed off one-third of the main cast, sent another third off into space, and the final third is pregnant. I don't think Jack's in any position to lead anyone right now, not after sacrificing his own blood like that. Did he do the right thing? I can't say. Sacrifice one child to save millions--did he have the right to sacrifice anyone else's child?

That was the question Frobisher was unable to answer. In what world does a family murder-suicide become a legitimate moral choice?

Ianto's death hit me just as hard as Owen's and Tosh's. Dammit, I got to love those crazy kids, and now? Somehow, I doubt we'll see another series. The one comfort is that Gwen and Rhys, my favorite pair, made it through.

Darn it, now I'm depressed. The series was overall extremely well made. Tightly-plotted, great new original characters, well-written, even the acting was above par. Eve Myles was her usual excellent self, but even Barrowman stepped up to the plate and emoted convincingly. It's just how the thing ended that's going to haunt me.

Maybe Jack can find the Doctor and the two of them can depress each other even more. I'm wondering if Susan was on Gallifrey when the Doctor pulled the trigger.

*Sigh* Is there a support group somewhere for survivors of TW:CoE?
