Aerith made her way through the hospital, looking for Angeal's room. Finding it, she knocked gently before entering, surprised to see both Sephiroth and Genesis visiting as well. "Hi!" she beamed brightly, trying not to look at Sephiroth too long.

She was trying not to laugh, although it was difficult. Going straight towards Angeal, she dimmed her smile a little, although she was still obviously happy to see him. "How are you feeling?" she asked, slipping a bag from behind her back, which had concealed a pair of scissors.

WELL HEY. WELCOME. honoreverything August 16 2009, 01:00:23 UTC
"I'm alright, all things considered." Angeal nodded at her. "Yourself?" he noticed the bag she had, and realizing what it was.

Having Aerith there seemed to calm him down about having Sephiroth here. Maybe with her in the room, he could relax a little more around. Well, keep his memories and emotions down, that is.

Aerith nodded, and placed a hand on Angeal's shoulder, sitting next to him on the bed. "I've been doing well, thanks," she wasn't oblivious to the tension in the room, but Aerith was hoping that she could make it lessen somewhat. Looking at Sephiroth, she couldn't hold back a giggle, but didn't say anything. Obviously he hadn't noticed yet, or he would have done something already.

He shook his head at her laughing. "That's good to hear. Come to cut my hair have you?"

Aerith looked at Angeal with feigned confusion, as if she had no idea what he was laughing at. "Yes, I have. I can't promise that it will be exactly the way you usually wear it, but I can at least make it look a little better," she paused. "I hope."

"Do your best Aerith and I'm sure you'll do fine. Anything is better than this mess." He laughed, brushing his fingers through his hair. Then he decided it was probably better if he gave her some direction on what he was thinking. She had never seen him with his usual cut. Only this and his ridiculously long hair.

"I know most if it is terribly mangled but, an evening of everything out to the same length and trim should do just fine." He picked at the very short and long pieces as he talked.

Aerith nodded, looking at his hair again, and gently touching it. She felt strange, touching his hair. "Alright, I will do my best," she smiled, gently nudging him over so she could sit behind him.

"Could someone get me a towel, please? I don't want to get the hair all over the bed," she glanced at Genesis, still afraid to look at Sephiroth without laughing.

Angeal scooted up far enough for Aerith to sit down. He felt the hesitation in her touch. Was it because he was a First? Was it about how he was perceived? Regardless, he was happy to have Aerith do this for him. "Take your time. It'll be fine, don't worry."

He grabbed the extra blanket at the foot of the bed and presented it to her. "Would this do?" His mother, unless Genesis had taken him out to town, did his hair and she always used sheets. Yes, it was backwater and poor, but that's how Angeal was growing up. He wasn't ashamed.

Aerith knelt behind Angeal, so that she could see properly to cut his hair. "Alright," she laughed suddenly having a mental image of Angeal with much shorter hair. Like..Yuffie's. Not that she would intentionally do that, but the thought was funny.

She took the blanket and nodded. "Yes, this is even better, thank you. Now I can make more of a mess with your hair," she grinned, her green eyes sparkling. Aerith was having fun with all of this, there was no doubt about that.

Well that was suspicious. "What are you laughing about?" Angeal hadn't honestly spent all that much time around girls, even when he was forcefully dragged everywhere, so he wasn't all too keen as to why she was laughing. And she had scissors.

"Wait, mess? No no, now wait a minute, I asked for a haircut not an improvement on what's already been done." Angeal turned his head to look at her, a rather shocked look donning his tired features.

"Just imagining something," she smiled. "I promise, I won't do anything bad, Angeal."

Aerith smiled gently at him, trying to reassure the man. "I know but you do have a lot of hair, so its going to create a small mess. Now turn around so I can fix this mop," she scolded.

Angeal Hewley. SOLDIER, First Class. One of three Generals to ShinRa -- was a mop.

He chuckled at the thought as he took the blanket back and wrapped it around himself like his mother did. "Do your best." he grunted happily as he pulled his hair out.

"I will," she nodded in mock solemnity, and began to gently and carefully cut his hair. Aerith had watched for years as her mother Elmyra had cut peoples hair for extra money, so she had a vague idea as to what she needed to do.

He sighed as he heard the scissors trim his hair. It was relaxing, surprisingly. It reminded him of his mother, how she used to cut his and Genesis' hair when they were just kids. And when he thought about it, he wasn't too sure why Aerith reminded him of his mother. But she did, and he wasn't going to dwell on it or obvious reason. Angeal sat as still he could, only moving when Aerith told him, did so herself, or to move a creaking joint.

Aerith hummed a little as she trimmed Angeal's hair, trying to concentrate on what she was doing. Her eyes wandered over to Sephiroth occasionally and she giggled, wondering if he had figured out yet what had happened.

"Alright, all finished," Aerith sat back and began to gather the sheet up, trying not to spill any of the hair. "It's definitely an improvement," she nodded, smiling at Angeal.
