Holy crap, I had one of the COOLEST DREAMS EVER. Well, cool by my nerdy standards.
I don't remember how it starts, but it was kinda like "A Ride Through Lanie's Favorite Musicals" or something, because you sit on a cart kinda like Mr. Toad's Wild Ride at Disneyland.
I was in my own ride, I guess xDD As the ride goes by, I see Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom from The Producers singing "
We Can Do It." Though I dunno if these figures are animatronic or not. They looked pretty real?
Anyway, after that, it started raining. An umbrella popped out of the cart for me to use. I hear the familiar "Do di do do do" tune and it's Gene Kelly~ 8D He looks at "the audience" and he was all, "It's easy!" and does a few tap dancing numbers before going into the "
Singin' in the Rain" routine. And unlike Max and Leo who kept arguing with each other, Gene Kelly actually waved good bye as the cart kept going. That made me squee. :3
The next set was Beauty and the Beast (oddly enough, it was the animated movie version, not the broadway cast. Not that I'm complaining) and Lumiere and the other enchanted items were singing "
Be My Guest" and it was so so so cool. And somehow,
sightlessmind appeared on the ride next to me out of no where and they gave her an elcaire. xDDD And I got a cupcake. :D
This was a cool transition. Instead of moving to a new set, the enchanted items slowly move away and the grand table turned into a simple dining table. And guess what? "
La vie Boheme". 8DDDDD I couldn't help but sing along.
The song changed to the last bit of "
Defying Gravity" and how it happened was so neat. The RENT cast move away and Idina Menzel, who was on the table (and also in both RENT and Wicked), suddenly looked like Elphaba out of no where and she flew up way high and sang the line, "So if you care to find me, look to the western sky..." etc. and it was so so so so so so cool! Fuck expensive orchestra seats, it was SO cool seeing it in my dream FOR FREE. The song ended with Idina laughing all wickedly and such before she flew away on her broom. That was so trippy.
Then I hear a voice saying, "No, we are not time traveling. But we are in London during the 1800's."
And then it shows Mrs. Lovett and Sweeney Todd (the older, original cast) singing the last bit of "
A Little Priest" starting with Mrs. Lovett handing Sweeney the knife and saying, "Executioner!" and ending with them swinging together saying one of my favorite lines, "No, we'll serve anyone. Meaning anyone. And to anyone at all~" and bowed. 8DDDDDD It was epiiiiiic. I can't really describe it in words. I'm just a silly fan that loves the musical so much.
This is where it's a blank. I think I forgot what happens after their number. But I DO know that they ride ended with the Avenue Q cast (with the people being there also, not just the puppets) singing their finale song, "
For Now" :DDD Which is a great way to end a dream. "Everything in life is only for now."
And and this wasn't part of the actual song, but it was hilarious. Rod stepped out of the stage and the actor got on his knees and he says (in Rod's voice), "For nooooooooooow~ 8DDDDD"
I remember that made me and Kim laugh haaaaaaaard. And Rod said, "Oh, and don't forget to stop by the club to hear me sing and play the piaaano~ Here's my card. :3 Ciao, girls!" And he leaves and I assume the ride ended because that was the last thing I remembered before waking up. xDDD

Gotta head to class now. I hope this happy feeling doesn't go away anytime soon. I am going to need it.
