The Art of Juggling...
I love being freelance, for the most part. I love my freedom. Of course the downside is the ebb and flow of work and money. I am sitting pretty for the most part cause I had two nice gigs (1 especially nice) and so there is money coming in. Still, a few slow months and the flow has dwindled in terms of my checking account.
Ah well, I luckily applied and got a new credit card, with 0% for the first year. This is a great tool for juggling when cash flow becomes tight. I really do not want to build up debt or dip into savings... I have been blissfully credit card debt free all year. I have made some big purchases but only knowing I could pay the bills in full. I have not had any monthly payments and it is amazing how much further my money goes, because of it.
I should get paid today for my teaching gig, so that will also help. I also still have a stash of cash but I try not to touch that either. Life is good.
