Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Ages ago, in attempt to drag monstakarotte even deeper into Avengers fandom with me, thinking that hey, I got her to watch Thor, I told her i would make her an awesome Steve/Tony reclist, she would fall in love with the pairing, and that would be that.
Now, after a few weeks, I have decided to put the list on hold for now and let her start reading first and add more later, since I have a read a LOT of Steve/Tony over the last couple of months and have trouble sorting through it all, plus I am mainly reading Thor/Loki at the moment.
Well yeah, this is a start.

So all of these do work without the comics!canon, some better than others, but you will probably not need any prior knowledge.
I think I love this ship because I always fall in love with characters first, story second, and Cap and Tony are just such brilliant and deep characters who deserve a lot of attention.

A Window in the Sky
Steve wants Tony. Tony's reluctant (age [Steve's in his early 20s, Tony's getting close to 40], experience, whatever). Bucky's alternately horrified and amused.

So I don't know anything about Iron Man noir, but I lov the voice of this Tony. Comics-Tony behaves much less often like a child than movie-Tony does, and I miss that in some fics.
And Steve, the damnable damn thing he is, just doesn't give up!

Deep Waters
His power's running low, the arc reactor flickering. Cold, rancid sewer water is rushing into the fissure at his torn up shoulder, filling up the gaps, rising along his neck in frigid fingers. He's been like this before.

Because I love fics where Tony can't deal with the past and Steve is willing to help.

Tomorrow belongs to me
Steve wakes up in the 21st Century. He doesn't think much of it, and it's dubious about him. He meets a Norse God, joins a superhero team, and feels terribly awkward about the whole momument at Arlington he's rendered obsolete by not being dead. Meanwhile, Tony is trying to make his mark on history by being the man who finally drove Nick Fury over the edge.

THIS IS THE BEST STEVE/TONY FIC IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD. It also happens to me almost novel-length, and has completely ruined the movie for me, because if the movie isn't going to be all things this fic was, it is going to suck.

Ready, Fire, Aim
There's no "I" in "Avenger."

So yeah, let it be sad, gyzym wrote my favourite H50 fic, damn good Inception fic, and terrible First Clas stuff, and this is somewhere between all that, which still makes it better than most of the crap that's out there.

After Spring
Steve wants to upgrade his relationship with Tony.

A 616! wedding fic! One that has more than 50 words! Yes!

These Three Things Remain

Steve is so amazingly STEVE in this.

Victory
Steve has forgotten everything since Project Rebirth.

Okay so most of this? Is porn. And that's why I would have loved more plot, because the potential is so there and once again this is one of those fics where Steve sounds fantastic.

W.I.P.E.
An AU of the events covering SIEGE and immediate after. When Tony is rebooted after deleting his brain, he's left with no memory of anything, and lingering programs that keep him from finding out everything he missed. Sometimes you just need to start over, but there's always a place in every plan for a backup.

This series!!! !! I mean ! This does make more sense if you know a bit about SIEGE and Extremis and the bit where Tony DELETED HIS FUVKING BRAIN, but it is okay if you don't because they have to explain everything to him, anyway. You know, because... he deleted his brain.

Secrets of a Successful Marriage
Tony Stark lives a double life; he's secretly the supervillain known as Iron Man. But his loving husband Steve has a few secrets of his own, as Tony is about to discover.

Ahaha, I think this was the first Steve/Tony fic I have ever read. I still really love the banter.

Honey, I can see the stars
"The most he'd ever cared about anything remotely related was his uniform, which, beyond the stylistic, was pretty necessary. But now his suit comes from a lab far more advanced than the basement of a Brooklyn antique shop, and the only decision he really gets to make is if his pants are too tight. (They were, but he doesn't really think they changed them. He doesn't know why, but he thinks that might have been on purpose.) That being said, he doesn't know what he's done to deserve the double take Tony gives him as he walks in the room.

Whoops, a Tony Stark has wormed his way into your life! However did that happen?

And since I have just mentioned the Thor/Loki, have my recent favourite:

Falling like flip of a coin
AU where both Thor and Loki are reborn as mortals who fall in love; they do not remember their days on Asgard but feel some sort of connection.

The writing just floors me. I wish I had enough time to write these days, I usually read fantastic fics on my kindle in bed, big bang fics of 80 pages and more, and they make me a tad jealous. XD

It's midterms, which means deadlines for tons of things I have only half-finished or not even started, mostly because it is group work. WHO INVENTED GROUP WORK, SERIOUSLY. Everyone hates group work! Why do I always always end up with unreliable arsewipes in my groups?
There is this one Japanese girl in a presentation due for Thursday who behaves as if she seriously never had to do a presentation in her lifetime, because I had to explain to her what you put into a powerpoint slide, and when I said "a couple of sentences will do" that's exactly what she did - she sent me two sentences. You have GOT to be shitting me.

I shall be posting again next month, when I once again have health, money and hopefully a social life. Tadah~ <3
