This keeps happening!
Went to my Japanese class this morning--first day! And I was literally the only girl in the room.
Whut.
There were supposed to be two other females present (I know because I actually went to the instructor at the end going, "Whhyyyyy??") but they didn't show for whatever reason, so it was me and like 8 other guys.
Somehow my life tends to work like this--I was the first girl in band (4th grade) to play the saxophone. At the moment I'm the only girl in Muay Thai. For a while I was the only girl in karate back when I was doing karate. I have to wonder how even when I'm doing something not meant to be in any way gender specific, I still wind up as the only girl in the class. WTF.
Now I will go and answer comments. I am so behind. Gah. *shame*
