For those of you, like me, who may have difficulties sleeping due to noise issues, or silence issues, or whatever, I'd just like to take a minute.
I recently purchased a white noise machine. I've had major issues with sleeping for years now, and part of that is due to having supersensitive ears. I will literally wake up if someone walks by outside my apartment.
So I got this thing about 3 or 4 weeks back. I've noticed that lately I am not as tired as I usually am. I can still drop into a nap in midafternoon without too much trouble, but the reason for buying it--the fact that I was so exhausted I could literally sleep pretty much anywhere I happened to be--seem to be less prominent.
When being tired all the time is pretty much the norm, not being so comes as something of a shock. Anyway, if you have the extra cash, live in an apartment, and have issues with sleep, I totally recommend it. It *does* work to drown out ambient noise, too, which is also a plus.
