Rome and 24

I am suffering serious TWoP forum withdrawal. I was away for most of the weekend and now the forums are down. I'm dying to discuss last night's 2-hour 24 premiere (the absurdities and the "makeovers"), as well as the goings on on the season 2 premiere of Rome.

Rome
Look, would it be too historically inaccurate for Brutus to grow some gonads?

"Fetch that slutty German girl from the kitchen." Wow. Um. That is why I missed this show so much.

I was hoping for a more violent and exciting exit for Quintus (Rick Warden). Would it have killed them to film a duel between Quintus and Marc Antony?

Loved the double-spit of Calpernia. How was that not blinding?

Why Vorenus? Why? I really hope that dude was lying about the children (and the sister-in-law).

Also, if your new wife is to feel less like a servant, maybe you should stop barking orders at her and say please. Just saying.

24
So Jack's been tortured for 20 months and I am to believe that all he needs to jump back into kickass mode is a shave and a shirt and the only thing that might be holding him back is mental fatigue? His kidneys and liver would be close to shutting down, he should at least have a bad cough, severe foot fungus, crotch rot, lice, rotting teeth and no fingernails. Yes, he was scarred and burned, but he was not weak.

CTU: Holy Extreme-Makeover: Chloe Edition. Does getting back with your ex have to involve a tragic haircut and an unflattering suit? Loving the return of Milo, though. Love the Karen (poor man's Helen Mirren) and Bill hook-up. It totally makes sense to me. Curtis is looking a bit beefier, or is that my imagination.

The guy playing Assad is now my new crush. Sorry but I just find him so frakkin' hot. I seriously need help. Can Kumar/Taj stop playing baddies (first Superman Returns and now this)? I just can't stand it.
