Not all anime is Pokemon
There is this Deviantart drawing that I was looking at tonight that reminded me of this incident:
One day, earlier this year, I was out sketching at a coffee shop just something from a Tsubasa Chronicles artbook. A typical American mom with two hyper kids (sorta a routy bunch) comes along, and upon passing my table, the mom exclaims, "Oh look at what she's drawing! Isn't it pretty! She must be drawing Pokemon!" and just goes right on by. Of course, I just smiled politely.
It's funny that she thought I was drawing Pokemon, even if she obviously couldn't make out what I was drawing from her distance.
