Setting/Location: The hallway in Alpha tower heading towards cassie_of_troy's room.
Date & Time: Morning, Day 14
Warnings: ...Bret? He seems to have garnered a warning for awkwardness here. Not that that's new exactly, but those who don't know him are so much more shocked. Fff.
Summary: Bret's curious about this chick who seems to know him. Also, he's returning her arrow, finally.
It had become abundantly clear during their time in the maze-place that he could no longer put off his investigation of these women who seemed to know him. Cassandra-- he was almost positive that was her name --had now tried to protect him on two separate occasions. That implied that either A: is was some weird Neo kind of thing, or B: this other world was more important than he really wanted it to be.
After all, it just complicated things, didn't it?
So, okay. The first time she'd helped him she'd thrown an arrow his way. Or, well, shot it. Which might have been an accident, actually, but it had still come in handy. And since it wasn't technically his, he knew he had to return it eventually. Plus, it gave him an excuse to talk to her. Win-win.
Of course, despite the fact that she apparently already knew him (whether it was personally or from stalking him Mel-style had yet to be determined), he was rather awkward with girls. Sure, they liked him and stuff, but he tended to have more awkward silences than the average person. It didn't help that half of them thought his name was actually 'Brit' for the first hour of their conversation.
For the moment, he was taking his time down the hallway, bracing himself for whatever potentially awaited him.
