Summary: Cheer up Charley :(

As she placed the Junogram in her bag, Nodoka paused nervously. It wasn’t that she was afraid of going to meet Charley-san - it was that she was so worried. She had never imagined that someone who seemed so strong and happy would lose someone like this - and end up so upset over it. Of course, everyone got upset, but... Was Charley-san really all alone now? If he was, then Nodoka knew she had to do her best to make him as happy as possible. She was just as alone as he was so, maybe, together they could make something okay. Their work on a church and their developing friendship was something that was becoming even more special to Nodoka, and she refused to let it fade away.

Stepping out of her room she moved down to the entrance of the Caravan where she had promised to meet Charley-san, adjusting her backpack as she waited. Perhaps together they could take a walk and Charley-san could talk about things, if he wanted, whilst they searched for things to fill up the space in his makeshift church room. What was most important was making sure that he was okay - or at least had the means to be okay sometime in the very near future. Losing someone was hard, she knew that (waking up without Negi-sensei, not once but twice) had taken its toll on Nodoka and she had lost some of her faith in the magic that surrounded her teacher.

Moving down the stairs - after leaving a note for Chizuru-san, with a little heart and all to make her happy - Nodoka shifted the backpack on her shoulders. She almost fell down the stairs in her desperation to get herself down and to Charley-san’s side as fast as she could: her worry and her desire to help were driving her faster. She didn’t want to be late to meet him either - keeping him waiting would keep him dwelling on the things he didn’t want to think of, and that was not exactly what she wanted to get out of this walk. She wanted him to be happier and she would work towards that purpose.

Moving to stand by the door of the Caravan, she relaxed a little noting that Charley-san wasn’t there yet. She smiled to herself, resting her back against the wall, waiting.
