Summary: The two most fabulous men on the Caravan meet and have tea. Leave your conventional ideas about masculinity at the door if you please.
Soon after his last message to Kurt, Austria had closed his Junogam, made sure that he was presentable and gone out to the lobby. Checking both the rooms he selected one and opened the window so that it could air itself out. Not for the first time he missed his house staff, who would have done all this for him, as well as preparing the tea and whatever he wanted to eat with it.
But no, all that would have to be done by him. He sighed, leaving the door open as he went to fix the tea and find some sort of cake or cookies to eat with it, keeping a mindful eye on his pocketwatch the entire time. If Kurt wasn't early, then it looked like he would have everything he needed ready before the young man showed up. At least, he presumed he was young. His voice had sounded as such, and Austria was reasonably sure that he was one of the older... entities on the Caravan, though perhaps Diana could claim as much, but it was rude to ask a lady her age and so he had not.
All this went through his head as he took the tea and cookies (from a platter in the refrigerator) and went back to the room. It had become slightly less musty and cooler thanks to the open window and set the tray on the only table in the room. There was room for more in the room, but for now there was only the small table, two straight backed wooden chairs and two other chairs that actually had some padding to them. He quickly slid the little table over between the two padded chairs. It would have been better if he had some music, but he would take what he could get. Now it was just a matter of waiting for Kurt to arrive, and if this was not quite the ideal setup, well it would have to do. It was certainly better than his room, where Austria's room mate could (and did) come in whenever he pleased.
