Snow followed her gaze as she spoke, noticing the paintings as they walked; it really was a beautiful place, but the discussion they were having had taken all his attention. Serah involved in their kind of fights wasn't exactly an idea he liked, or even wanted to get familiar with; he had to admit, however, that she had a point.

"Nothing's gonna happen to me, Serah," and he'd almost added 'ever' to his phrase, but he knew now that nothing was to be taken for granted. He knew of what he was capable and he had faith in his abilities, yet hadn't he been turned into a l'cie? Everything was possible, even failure... All he could do was try his hardest to ensure that it'd always end well.

But I could never learn how to replace you.

He gave her hand a little squeeze, his heart heavy in his chest. Nothing had changed. Nothing would. "I think I rather like the idea," he smiled, the thought of being "stuck" with her definitely more appealing than the previous one. "Didn't I ask you to marry me, after all?"

And he still remembered that night, and the joy he'd felt when she'd said yes. He knew it was something that would never go away. "I think even Lightning's getting used to the idea." His smile grew bigger at the thought of her, still grateful at how things had turned out in the end. They weren't exactly the closest friends, but they definitely weren't enemies.

"Is that it?" he asked suddenly, pointing at a huge building through a window. "The caravan?"

And the view left him amazingly impressed.
