Characters: Amaterasu (
worthpraise) and anyone else!
Setting/Location: The entrance to the caravan/the bridge to Beast's castle and probably heading inside!
Date & Time: Day 6, an hour after arriving at the castle
Summary: Amaterasu is not planning on staying inside the caravan longer than she has to; her poor nose has been entirely too assaulted ever since the river crossing. So despite still being a bit gimpy, she is getting off this caravan. Oh yeah, and prisoners. Someone should look into that.
Also, my notifs are still messed up, but I'll do my best!
Amaterasu stepped almost tentatively out of the caravan onto the bridge, looking up at the castle. Her care was not because of the Beast's presence or his warnings, but because of her front paw which still ached from her collision with a caravan wall.
She breathed in deeply, trying to sort out the new smells from those she had already encountered both here and at home. But there was quite a lot there; she sneezed and shook her head - she'd get nothing useful from here. However she knew that she'd be able to find the prisoners inside the castle walls if she looked - from what she'd heard, there were more than a dozen people in close quarters. If there was a way that the Beast had hidden that she would be very surprised.
However, her current form and lack of Issun posed a problem: how could she make the prisoners understand that she was there to help? She could easily take their messages back - Dia would understand her, but it would be useless if they thought she was some follower of this Beast - if not this so-called "Beast" herself!
Almost reluctantly, Amaterasu concluded that she would need someone with her; she could scout ahead and come back, but Beast might become even more closed-off if he discovered her presence. She turned back to the caravan, throwing her head back and howling, hoping it will carry to most of the caravan. This was not her victory howl, but a calling forth. Those who can understand her will hear a simple message: Who wants to go hunting with me?
