Rude Awakening? [Open]

May 20, 2010 15:58

Characters: Yotsuba Koiwai! Kowai Yotsuba! It's Yotsuba! featuring (much to his chagrin) Nero! Other characters welcome.
Setting/Location: A little inn in district nine 1
Date & Time: Day 0, wake up time!
Warnings: Depends on how Nero reacts to Yotsuba waking him up like that...
Summary: Yotsuba wakes up. Incidentally, so does everyone else, whether they'd like to or not.

The reason why Yotsuba woke up so suddenly was a very strange thing.

Now, normally Yotsuba was used to sleeping on a futon, or on Daddy's face on a futon. Futons (and by association Daddy) were placed directly on the floor, which made things very easy should she ever roll off, something she did on many occasions.

That wasn't quite the case here. Now here was a true bed, just like the kind she had seen in apartment stores! ...Department stores! It was all full of fluffy covers and pillows and it had felt really good while she had been in it.

However, she was now staring at this bed from the floor. Just like that, with a loud thump, Yotsuba had rolled straight off, pulling her from her dream about cakes and cicadas. Which led to the current predicament:

"Where am I?!" she yelled as she pulled herself up, peering over the edge of the bed. This definitely didn't look like home! Had they moved again? No... Yotsuba couldn't remember anything like that happening. Had they been--gasp--abducted by aliens? It was just like that show she saw the other day that Daddy said she shouldn't watch since it would give her nightmares, but she did anyway!

Luckily her bag was nearby, and she quickly fished around inside and pulled out a bright, blue water gun. She had to be cautious now that there could be aliens around. Aliens didn't like water, right? Now, to find Daddy! Aha, that must be him!

Yotsuba had spotted someone sleeping in the next bed over, and she darted over, jumping up onto the sleeping figure.

"Daddy, it's the aliens!" she shouted, shaking the covers on the person below her.
