Diana had already had a busy day, meeting and greeting friends new and old. From a sickly young man to a group of young heroes, Diana had actually had an almost typical day. If she had saved the world from a giant monster, invading mythology, or a meteor, it would have just been another day. The only difference was the setting.

At least her stamina had not suffered from the loss of some of her powers. She had bartered with some local merchants for some vegetables to eat. All she had to barter was her own strength, but it was enough to move their stock to a new room. She now had a bag full of fresh, though odd, vegetables to show for it. She was on her way to perhaps find Tom or Yoite again to share, but in the meantime was skimming the posts on the cellphone-like device--the Junogam.

It left her decidedly less on-guard than she may usually be.

"You!" This was starting to become a Thing, her accosting people, but this time, though she had her axe at the ready, she wasn't trying to hold Diana hostage, like she had Toris.

"Do you know what's going on?" asked the vicious, snarly-looking Viking girl with an axe in her hands.

She took a step back in surprise as her expression sunk into a serious and somewhat threatening expression. But seeing the young girl, her expression soften. It wasn't the first time Diana had seen a young girl with an axe, and it certainly wouldn't be the last.

"Somewhat, young warrior. Please, set your axe by your side. I will not harm you and give you as many answers as I can offer," she said calmly.

Diana was now on guard, though unworried. It was no insult to Astrid, but Diana would be able to disarm her with relative ease. She had no intentions to harm her if she was violent, but was just being cautious.

Congratulations, Diana, you've said the magic words.

The axe was lowered in a somewhat conciliatory fashion.

"What's going on? How did we all get here and who brought us? Where is here?"

As the axe was lowered, Diana smiled more kindly to the young warrior. Her clothing didn't fit that of an Amazon, but she would certainly be fit to be one. Having just spent some time with Beowulf in a snowy tundra, she did see some familiarity in what Astrid wore.

So with more kindness in her tone, Diana said, "I cannot answer who brought us here, or how with any certainty. It is not something that any of us know. From my own experiences with alternate worlds, it is likely through magic that we have all arrived here, though very powerful. A man named Cid Amon called this land Willaknapp. He also said that we must journey to meet a witch who can send us all back to our rightful homes."

She paused for a moment, pulling out the Junogam. After fiddling with it for a few moments, she offered the original message from Cid Amon for Astrid to see.

"We also have these devices to communicate with each other. Have you received one, young warrior?"

"Yes," she said, wrinkling her nose. "I didn't know what it was, but I didn't want to throw it away in case it was important."

Now she lowered her axe even further.

"If a witch can send us home maybe it was a witch that brought us here."

"Perhaps. Cid Amon did not know who it was that brought us here. It may well be a witch, but for now, we are all unsure as to why and who brought us here."

The girl was obviously not presenting a threat anymore, so Diana smiled graciously. She offered her hand cautiously to shake the girl's. "I am Diana, princess of Themyscira, young warrior. I cannot say with certainty where you may hail, but to see a woman armed with an axe is a familiar sight. I am an Amazon--a race of warrior women."

Diana did not want to be presumptuous to guess. However, if she recognized Themyscira or the name of her people, Diana would know that they were indeed from similar worlds. It was obvious enough already that they were not the same.

She couldn't help but laugh slightly. After withdrawing her hand in greeting, she said coolly, "It is a pleasure, Viking Astrid. Themyscira is a race of women because we had been wronged by men more than a millennium before. But the history of my people is likely of little interest to you."

Diana stepped back, looking around at the scenery.

"This place is much more of interest to you. It seems to present no threat."

"For now."

She was a little more relaxed, though, and leaned on the handle of her axe.

"So, what's going on is so far, we don't know who took us, some guy told us a witch can send us home, and the villagers seem almost...used to this."

Or maybe they were just very nice. Either way, the whole thing was beyond weird.

"Is anyone organizing people together? We don't know what we might have to face on the way to this witch. Or dealing with the witch herself."
