it looks like i am blasting out of this state in mid-november. that is mostly a good thing, because it buys me like, 2 weeks more time here.
on wednesday i packed up the last of my room and put it in the moving van. dani is now driving away with all of my stuff. even my cool blue and pink light bulbs. goodbye shadows in 3D.
helping dani pack was a less than pleasant experience. mostly because i got there around 9:30 p.m. and everybody was tired from the last minute packing. there were so many items that i personally didn't think should have gone, especially since the truck was running out of space. for example, dani had 2 boxes' worth of candle holders alone. she had 2 or 3 large wall clocks to go as well. haley thinks such things are frivolous because we have light bulbs where we are going. and cell phones and a microwave (which don't make the annoying tick) to tell the time.
dani and i contrast on that point. i grew up in the white trash mobile home with a milk crate for a nightstand. dani works in a home furnishings store and was making payments on a fancy armoir by age 16. so of course we have things like juice glasses in addition to our normal glasses. just as long as i get to have my single slob's room, i won't complain.
everybody has asked me whether i am excited. the answer is no. this whole move is a lot of trouble for me right now because the whole trip was unexpectedly expidited. i have a huge project ahead of me which is mighty inconvinient. i'll be excited later.
tomorrow i help some friends with their garage sale. they are moving to hawaii. i doubt that my stuff that i contributed to the sale will generate much income but you never know. i put in some cool items: drum sticks, a formula fueler, graphing calculator, confetti launcher...
