[Having just returned from a field herself, Pleinair had decided on taking her own break from things as well. Coming from the city's mercenary district and having found nothing yet of interest in the shops, she turns and walks onto the dock, stopping next to the Adept Rouge and gazing out into the ocean herself.]

[When there is someone standing just to your side it's a little hard to actually ignore such a presence and pretend that they aren't there. Not when shoes and legs and are viewable when one glances out of the corner of their eyes.

But the company did not go by unacknowledged.

Amaterasu raises her head to glance up up the girl before she looks down at the bag of steamed bun (all of which were nearly gone, by now). She continues to stare into the bag in thoughtful deliberation. Perhaps...well, it would be nice...and maybe it would make for a good first impression...

Yes. She nods, picking out a bun and holds it up in offering to the girl.]

[The Steam Gunner quickly takes notice, and takes a moment to debate on whether to accept it or not. Finding no reason not to, she sits down and nods, taking the offering. However, she does so with a look of slight uncertainty, not quite sure what to expect of Amaterasu or any other people she might find here; after all, she comes from a place where kicking sentient exploding penguins just for laughs is completely normal-and often expected-behavior.]

[The look of uncertainty certainly didn't go by unnoticed and Amaterasu just snorts a little in half-amusement. The way her body shifts, the relaxation of her shoulders and small upward tilt of her head says that there was nothing for the girl to worry about. They were normal buns from one of the many shops with nothing in them that could cause any sort of harm.]

[Being totally fluent in near-absolute silence herself, Pleinair has no trouble understanding the message, and gives another nod-a less-wary one compared to moments before, and presumably in thanks-then proceeds to have at it. Meanwhile, with her free hand, she pokes at her Relic's touch-screen to bring up her status menu, possibly as a means of introducing herself.]

[There is a brief moment in which Amaterasu does nothing - no movement from her body or ears - as she just watches with careful eyes. She watches the girl poke about the Relic and it only when the object is offered as a way of introduction does the goddess go about her own form of movement.

Reaching beneath her robe, Amaterasu pulls out her Relic from the pouch and sets it to the knee closest to the girl. Pleinair, it says. She taps at a few of the buttons, watches as the screens change, and brings up her own stats menu as well.

It was very nice to meet her.]

[Pleinair sets her own down onto the dock for a moment, picking up Amaterasu's in order to read it. She glances over it a few times to be sure she's read it correctly, then offers to hand it back, while picking her own back up again.]

[When she is done with the Relic, Amaterasu takes it with a small nod of her head in quiet thanks. With the object back in hand she takes a moment of thoughtful contemplation; should she return the object to the pouch or keep it out? The former seemed like a good idea - it would be bad if, by some odd happening, it wound up falling into the ocean below. Amaterasu had no idea if it would be doable to get it back if it were to fall there...

With a small shake of her head and a wary look to the ocean, she returns her attention to Pleinair. If she would like, Amaterasu motions down between them at the half-full bag, once she was finished with hers she was welcome enough to take another.]

[ooc: Great minds think alike! I was going to ask, myself, if an accidental exchange could happen.]

[Pleinair picks hers back up and goes to put it away. The device chirps at her unexpectedly as she does so, but she either does not notice, or ignores it in favor of not ignoring her present company. While being rude to people was a common occurrence in her own world, she wasn't there now.

In response to being offered a second bun, the girl glances down to the bag herself, debating on whether to accept it or not.]

[Well...

Amaterasu gives a small quirk of her head before she glances back out to the sea. Whether or not Pleinair would go for another bun it didn't quite seem to bother Amaterasu - she had offered and the girl had every right to decline. But if she did take another? Then there were plenty left until she had her fill of them.

Until the decision is made, however, Amaterasu reaches over without looking and picks one of the relatively more larger buns out of the bag and proceeds to take a large bite out of it.]
