Relapsing fever is not contagious, so you don't need to isolate yourself, dear.

Oh! It's not?

No, you are safe, as long as you take the antibiotics.

How is Mary?

Oh, good! Then as soon as I'm feeling okay I can finally go out with Kaoru. That's good news.

I...think she's okay. We haven't talked much since the curse.

You can if your fever has lessened, dear.

Aion is being distant since then. But he follows me, I don't think he realizes I know he does.

Yeah, I know. I won't push myself. It wouldn't be very fun if I kept running off to the bathroom to hurl, anyway.

"Follows" you? How?

Thank you. You should remember you are still sick and under medication.

I can't explain. I see this bird when I turn, it's suspicious after the first hours.

Yeah, I know...Being sick is a real pain sometimes.

A bird...is it an eagle?

Embrace it as a new experience. How many times can you claim you got ill like anyone else?

Yes, I think it's an eagle. He must be worried.

Mm...this is the second time. It does make me a little more sympathetic towards Rosette and Joshua when they got sick. Particularly Joshua.

It sounds like it's him. ...I don't understand how he could try to kill someone, and then be worried about them later.

It helps you to understand humanity better, doesn't it?

He didn't want to kill me, he thought I was already dead, Chrono. Can't you understand his feelings? If a person you care about suddenly is possessed without way to help them by an entity you despise? He gets emotional.

Yeah. At least a little.

I don't know. I guess. It's just...he seems so determined. He seems so willing to do whatever it takes to achieve what he wants. But then...when something goes wrong, he's so quick to destroy everything. Once his mind's set, he doesn't look for another solution. I don't understand it. I don't understand how you can be so ready to sacrifice everything you care about. What would be the point of accomplishing anything if you lose everyone in the process?

Because he is still so very immature, Chrono. That anger resembles of a hurt child that was betrayed by something important and changed him. He's so desperate beneath.
