나 는 GAAAAAAAAANGSTUH

So I just got back from the Epik High fansign today! Notice how this time in my fanaccount, I'm trying to use proper capitalization and punctuation. I figure it's about time I stopped being lazy and quit butchering my own language. I do enough damage to Korean as it is.

So Sylvia, the girl I met Sunday at the Super Junior concert, told me about the fansign and was nice enough to tote me along with her haha. I told my friend Josh and posted it on fbook, which meant I got like 3 other people going "WHERE?!" but only one really followed up with it, Paul. So he came too, on the promise that he would stand behind me in line if I told him when and where it was just in case I was #200 or something. Bitch ain't takin' my spot, nuh uh gurlfrand.

Since there were only 200 tickets, we decided to get there early. We didn't know how crazy Epik High fans were in Korea, since most everywhere else they're generally much more chill. They were, except for the girl at the very front who probably got there at 6 or something with her High Skool shirt and other various swag. Four hours of sleep later Josh, Paul, and I met Sylvia at the station where it was being held (it turned into a mall. Korea likes doing this) at 8. So we chilled for 2 hours, got some Krispy Kreme...it's all good.

What happened was you bought the CD at ten, then you came back and lined up according to your ticket # at 5. So I tried to go back and go to class, was lazy and didn't go to class numero uno, but finished my project for class deux so I got to leave early. Sweetness. Got an outrageously expensive Caramel Ice Blended from Coffee Bean and booked my ass down to the station to meet the others.

When we were on the train, a creeper took a picture of me. See, there are downsides to being glaringly, obviously foreign in another country. You get creeped on. Sadface.

Anyways we get there and there's a buttload of people and I go like D: cuz I did not get up at 6 for no reason, no sir. But we figure we can just bully our way through with our number 008-011 tickets because only badasses are in the top 10 ticket holders for an Epik High fanmeet. Betta recognize.

So we get McDonalds.

Don't look at me like that, I'm allowed to experiment with American chains in foreign countries to see if they're any better, which they are. The bulgogi burger is delicous. ...I said don't give me that look >:|

So like badasses we bully our way to the front line of people (which is AWESOOOOOME -- it was a line of like, 12 across and then it went back like that, so we made up the very front. sick.) and stand there for about half an hour. I expect most of them were considerably still torn up from last night, which was Tablo's birthday and a very good excuse to get hammered. Go them. Heineken loves you too, boys.

About half an hour or so into line waiting, Tablo strolls through and into the music shop like it's nobody's business, because he can. There are a few screams from the younger fans who don't realize that it is uncool to do that with Epik High, and on top of that they'd rather you not. Tablo looks around, flashes a gangsta peace, and looks at me, but I was in the front line so what else is going to happen? It's different from Suju, this time I'm not convinced he's falling madly in love with me (jusskiddin, bfaf you shut your faces and no more terrible mary sue fic lines or I will show you no mercy). Also, he's used to black people. So it's cool.

Some kid gets to go in too, he's probably the son of someone important. It's chill. Tukutz rolls in a little while after that, and there are more screams this time because people actually process what's happening. Tablo just kind of appeared. Tukutz does this too, but people are ready for it. Ninja!fans fo sho. He kind of smiles and waves. He likes to humor us, it's why we love him.

People are creepers and gather around almost everywhere, some are in the bookstore with the glass windows. Some girls take cellcams and stuff. I do not want to be the creeper fan, when it comes to Epik High i try to retain some of my dignity, so I refrain. Also, there's really nothing to see, they're kind of just roaming around the music store like normal people (which is strange, because surely they're aliens). Alan is there too, their...producer...guy...whatever he is. He looks like a normal Korean again (again, strange -- supposed to be an alien) and Sylvia and I are like lol this is why we love them. They are so normal and chill.

Mithra wanders in super late, and Sylvia yells at him haha. People like...idk, woo at him and he's like *erm...yes* in that awkward squinty Mithra smile way of his. His hair is longerrrr. He's also wearing a Mithra shirt. SEE THIS IS WHY WE LOVE THEM.

The fansign starts and Sylvia, Josh, Paul and I are debating whether or not to fan out on them and ask for a picture because none of us really know how this is going to work since it's Epik High and things go differently than the highly secured fansigns for like, SHINee and stuff. They designate me the official "can we have a picture" person, which i fail at. When you're standing in front of them, you don't really remember what to say. I was supposed to say happy birthday too, that failed as well. Alas.

So I get up to Tablo and I have him sign his book (English vers. -- I bought both that morning) and the CD (which is sick). Here is our conversation in a nutshell:

Me: Hi
Tablo: Hey there. What's your name?
Me: Jessica
Supreme T: Jessica? cool (or some version of that. details are not important.) So why are you in Korea?
Me: Studying :)
Daniel: Oh cool :)
Me: Oh I went to the L.A. show!
Him: really?
Me: Yeah, it was really good.
T: Haha thanks. Here you go ^^
Me: Thanks :) oh and can you tell MYK I think he's brilliant? (shut up, i have a giant fancrush on him.)
Supreme T: I will.

Lol nothing special, just nice to talk casually to someone I admire and look up to so much. Also, his English is so dorky and adorable, I think he just speaks awkwardly in general, just the way he inflects his voice and such. He's adorable, I love him.

So I get to Mithra and this is how that one goes:

Mithra: Hi!
Me: haha hi. ...annyeong.
Bear: haha annyeong.
Me: kibuni eottaeyo? (how are you today)
Mithra Jin: haha kibuni chowaeyo (im good)
Me: ahh haha. thanks, nice to meet you!
Bear: nice to meet you too ^^

I'm practicing my Korean. Also, I'm fairly sure Mithra was probably not in the proper mindset to process much English that day.

Tukutz's goes fairly the same way:

Tukutz: Hi~
Me: hi haha. annyeong.
Fox: ah haha annyeong.
Me: kibuni chowahaeyo? (are you doing good today?)
DJ Tukutz: ne, chowahaeyo (yeah, i'm good). Jesshica!
Me: |D hahaha yeah
Tukutz: nice to meet you~
Me: nice to meet you too! thanks! :3

*shakes hand*

See? There you go. Simple and normal. No screaming. Alas, I kind of chickened out and didn't ask for the picture. The first girl, the early one, self-cammed with Tukutz on her phone, but I was afraid of turning out like her. Little did I know, that's what most people did, but oh well I have my book and my CD signed. Thus, I am a happy camper. Yessiree.

The guard tried to shuffle me out when I went off to the side because there started to be a little gathering of people who didn't want to leave, but I just pointed and said "chingu" (friend). Then when Sylvia came over he tried again, and I was like *shakes head* "chingu" because Josh and Paul were still finishing lol. Anyways after we got out of line and just kind of sat in the vicinity of them, snapping faraway pictures of the surroundings and the signing and ourselves because we kind of wanted to just bask in the feeling of being there still.

Sylvia had to leave to go have dinner for her uncle's birthday, but Josh, Paul and I stayed until they left. We avoided being creepers as much as possible. Instead, we took pictures of the creepers pressed against the bookstore window. A girl tried to persuade the guard to letting her duck back under the tape and go again and he kind of half-dragged her out lol. Tablo started drawing tears on all the faces of the ginormous poster behind them, devil horns on one of the guys, and a halo above his head. They all signed it after they were done, and when he signed the last person, Tablo stood up and shouted "DONE". Lol he was quite glad I suppose. Mithra looked pretty tired halfway through, but then who wouldn't. Tukutz and Tablo started taking weird pictures with the fans towards the end lol.

Uhm not much to say after this...they went inside the store, puttered around for a bit, waved at the people left, a few of whom then screamed, and left.

They were of course followed.

Oh, those crazy crazy fans.

We left haha. I am not the creeper person, I refuse to be. I have too much pride and dignity to stalk that hard, and also I have too much respect for Epik High lol. I'm just grateful for what I got today and nothing can make me regret not getting this, saying that, or such. I'm just happy :)

This whole week has been great.

Korea, stop spoiling me ♥
