I was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, which is close to Harrisburg, the state capitol. All of my extended family is there. We lived in a big apartment building in Ironville Pike, Marietta, that my dad bought after a fire and renovated. We were the only ones living there while it was being fixed up so we had the run of the place, huge empty wooden floors that we would ride our big wheels on. There was a field of strawberries across the street that we owned and our neighbors had raspberries. This is why I hate raspberries (the neighbor kids and I went and overindulged and I threw up SO much raspberries blech)
Then we moved to North Carolina, where we bought an old farm house and fixed it up, I only remember finding kittens in an old tire in the barn and a tire swing in a little patch of forest out back. Oh, and they had Piggly Wiggly grocery stores lol Moved because the school systems weren't that great. I wasn't even in school yet, so I'd say I was 3 years old.
Then we moved to Daytona Beach, Florida, where we lived in an awesome house about 5 minutes from the beach. We lived there while I was in elementary school. But it wasn't the best area so we moved to the next little town over in Port Orange. My parents still live in that house. Well, my mom does. My dad lives in the Philippines.
After I graduated high school I moved to Jacksonville for college where I lived with one of my best friends off campus in an apartment right down the street from the school. I hated it because people were always getting their cars broken into and fights with cops called and stuff. It was so ghetto!
After THAT, my boyfriend at the time, Dan, and I decided to pack up and move to California. We drove from FL to CA and it was awesome.. We stayed with his parents in Arizona while we apartment searched. Things happened and I decided to come home which is one of the most life changing decisions I ever made, and sometimes I WISH I had stayed but I was worried about my dad, who had told me he thought his cancer was back just before I left, and I thought if I was in school and working my butt off to live in CA I would never be able to save up enough or take enough time off to come back and see him...
anyway then when I got my flight attendant job I moved to Virginia so I could fly out of the three airports right there in D.C., mostly Dulles. The crashpad I lived in was gorgeous and I loved the area, it was a beautiful house that some rich guy rented out for all 7 or 8 of the FA's and pilots to use. Actually I'm still not sure how many people lived in that house since we were never all there at the same time! Now I'm back in Port Orange in a great neighborhood about 5 minutes from my parents house and everything else, which is cool. Although we are desperately looking to buy our own home , so maybe I'll update this when that happens! If I had my choice I'd move out of the state completely. Maybe back to Virginia, it was so pretty!
That was long. I've lived a lot of places!
I didn't count my months living in AZ for flight attendant training... because we were in a hotel, and I didn't really LIVE there, although I was there for awhile. And I didn't count the month we spent in Costa Rica. That was more like a vacation, I guess? Even though my dad bought some land there. But I don't think it counts.
