it's the last day of the Balloon and Sky festival and Johnny has today off, so I'm hoping later on, weather permitting, I'll be up in a hot air balloon

Amy & I really want to go on a hot air balloon ride, but it's so expensive!
This reminds me, though, we went to a hot air balloon festival once & did not see any balloons. ;P Only we could manage that! I read that they were having balloon take-offs at sunrise & sunset each day, so I thought we'd go to the last one. It took us an hour to drive out there, and we paid to get in before noticing that most activities were winding down. I thought, no biggie, we'll still see balloons take off (I had visions of taking amazing pictures), but when I didn't see any around, I asked someone, and it turned out that Sunday was the one day there would be no sunset take-off. All balloons were packed away & done with. Oops!
We ended up paying even more money to ride on carnival rides, and I was hot the whole time, because I'd dressed in long sleeves and a sweater, expecting cooler weather. Not really the best time we've ever had, but we managed to have some fun, at least.
(Sorry if there are errors in this comment. Amy is on the phone, babbling away with some internet tech person, and I just want to die laughing, because Amy keeps saying, "Excuse me?" after everything, even though the woman is speaking clearly, without a discernible accent, LOL. Amy needs more time than the average person to register questions and come up with answers. Carrying on a conversation with her is fine, until it's her turn to speak, haha!)
