It's a quick one as RL has been crazy the last couple of days and its taking its toll.
I don't know why, but I wasn't 100% looking forward to this one, but I actually rather enjoyed it. It was a sad one really, but had some really funny lines and moments in.
I love how out of touch the Doctor really is with humans, not only did he pop out of Rory's cake rather than a stipper, but he also said Amy had kissed him - in front of everybody. Icing on the cake really - icing - cake...get it?
I thought at first Rory was going to get the same treatment as Mickey who - bless him - got a rough ride from the Doctor, but I think by the end of the episode Rory had somewhat come up trumps. He was a sweetie really, totally awkward - part of the most awkward sword fight EVER too - now that's something.
I especailly liked how the Doctor didn't seem to hate Rory (because 9/10 never seemed to care for Mickey all that much) and how the Doctor really seems to want Amy and Rory to work. Though Amy kissing the Doctor last week to her reactions this week seemed to flip flop - shouldn't there have a least been some awkward 'can we discuss what happened' moment? Is that just me. They had these totally 'we're best friend' moments which I loved - which I want, but...um...I'm out of words.
Though, Rory and the Doctor being Amy's boys was sweet - and I'd happily see the three of them going off into the cracks in time together - speaking of the cracks in time, it's gettting more interesting with those - popping up everywhere aren't they?
And on a final note - mostly to myself - is it just me seeing femslash in everything? Was Amy alone in that school - going up to that room just not a loaded situation? I'm going to shut my brain down now I think.
