Fingers crossed, please...
I'm on the airplane. They delayed us about a half-hour owing to Newark ground-control orders (my brilliant guess: weather), but we're actually on board with a scheduled departure now! So if people could think intermittent good thoughts in the direction of SFO and EWR for the next hour or six, such as to encourage them to honor that departure time (and especially that landing slot) it would be appreciated.
Update: aaaand we're back off the plane. In fairness, I don't think anybody really wanted to fly into the Northeast right now with a defective window heater. Still, we're not the merriest band of passengers, right now.
Further update: on board the new plane, and turning off phones. Hopefully the last update!
