Watson amnesia fic
I'm almost positive this was a bookverse fic and it was one where Watson is shot and has amnesia. The fic was fairly long, I think it was posted in four parts or so on LJ. The entire fic was from Watson's pov. Holmes and Watson got together and then soon after Watson was shot in the head on a stakeout/case and forgot all of it. Most of the fic was Watson trying to remember and even though it was his pov, you really felt for Holmes and what he was going through. I remember being really amazed at how well that worked and glad that the author kept with the one pov. Watson does get his memory back in the end. I'm sorry that I don't have more details but I hope someone knows which fic I mean. Thanks.
ETA- Thanks for the suggestions but no luck yet. Don't know if this helps or not, but we see the boys get together for the first time before Watson gets hurt. And Holmes doesn't tell him they were together, Watson gets it back on his own. But Holmes is kind of distant and that hurt Watson but he didn't know why he was pulling back.
