24 shopping days and counting...
It's December. Can you believe that? 2005 is almost over. Where did it go? It felt like it went by so fast. Then at times (like now) it seems to go by slow. Which is weird when you think about it. A minute is the same length of time every time. Same with an hour, a day, a week... etc. So I don't know how some days feel like they just draaaaaaaggggg on by while others go by super fast. You know?
Yesterday was crazy busy. Had four people to in-process. Then we had a special Food Handlers Class (a requirement for some positions) scheduled with Public Health, but they canceled it. The club here on the base was in need of employees (not our fault they keep quitting) so we had to schedule a special class. So when they (PH) canceled it we had to scramble around to find someone else who could teach it. Stupid club. They always think they should get special treatment or something. And if something happens it's always our fault. Whatever.
Today is going like semi-fast. I will be in-processing someone here in like 15 mins. That takes about an hour. Then I can have lunch. Just not sure what I should have. I'm out of my frozen lunches and I didn't bring anything. So I'm limited to Burger King, Robin Hood (like a subway), the Bowling Alley, or the Pub. Haven't had BK in a while... but a sub sandwhich is better for me. Or I can always go hungry. LoL.
Then at 1400 (2:00pm) we have a Commander's Call to attend. Oh joy! Hopefully it's not boring. At least it gets me out of the office. Hehe. And if I'm lucky it will last for an hour and a half at least. *crossing fingers* They have a "Pie in the Face" fundraiser going on. The top three people with the most money on them get a pie in the face. Hehe. SSgt. Waldren is in the lead. I was hoping Maj. Whalen would get it. But he's only got like $15 on him. Hehe. So that should be fun to watch.
It's all icky outside today. Rainy, windy and cold. Always makes me want to stay home in bed, in my nice warm jammies reading a book. Yep. That would be nice. But instead, I'm stuck at work... I think the florescent(sp?) lights we have bug my eyes. They're just so harsh. I hate them. Wish we had like desk lamps or large windows that looked outside so we didn't need to use them.
Hmmm... what can I babble about now? I'm bored and there's nothing to babble about. I'm thinking it's time to do a layout change. Whatcha think? Not sure what to change it to. A christmas theme? Or a Viktor Krum theme? I'm siding more towards... as lunabloom called him, "The Hungarian bon-bon". LMAO. He's a hottie. And I did see some really good icons on him. A red theme is christmasy huh? Hehe.
