LiveJournal has informed me that my last update was 40 weeks ago.
Well, there you go.
I'm starting anew this year. I say that every year, but I mean it this time. New outlook, new determination, new pants. (They have monkeys on them. Amazing).
Here's what you've missed, LiveJournal:
I currently teach musical theatre and voice. It's fab. My students right now are between 3 and 12. Oy. But it's something much more exciting than retail and kind of in my industry, so I'm excited.
My boss directed A Christmas Carol: The Musical last month. I was Mrs. Cratchit and I sang about my chicken. It was amazing.
I took a musical theatre class at Walnut Street Theatre in Philly in the fall. I'm going back this semester for a seminar workshop and the intermediate class. Yay, the oldest regional theatre in the country!
Website's up! www.courtneyboches.com for all your Courtney needs.
I read NUNCOM for the first time in a few months (I've been busy, be quiet) and, guess what? It didn't suck! It was actually pretty fantastic. Usually when I'm away from something and come back, I think of a million ways to fix it. Not this time, so I'm taking it as a really good sign.
Seriously, I'm not trying to be obnoxious, but I'm so excited I can't even contain myself. It's actually really heartwarming and adorable and funny and magical. I love magic.
I'm trying to wrap my mind around filming the pilot somehow. It will happen. If you can help make it happen or would like to volunteer, please comment here, haha. I will pay you in food, fun times, and my undying love and appreciation. Also, if you know Betty White, please ask her if she's free.
We watched the movie Driving Lessons the other night and Julie Walters's character is basically who I want to be when I'm old (without the alcoholism and dead child, please). An eccentric old lady who runs around her garden in a giant hat quoting Shakespear and Chekov. In order to become that eccentric old lady, I need to be positive, put myself out there, and get all intellectual and soul-y.
I'm on it!
(Also, where has The Three Stooges been all my life, you guys? See title of post. We watched the marathon on New Years Eve and it was spectacular! Also, the official "Stoogeum" is near my house. I have been and it is hilarious).
