So I've missed a few days of doing this meme. We knew that was going to happen! So I am combining all the missed days plus today's in this post:
Day 03 - A pairing that needs to happen now?
Mark & Lexie. Enough is enough...get them together now! And I want a really great love scene, not a kiss and fade. I see more action between Big Bird and Elmo than I do between ML. Hell, we got more from Mark & Obnoxious McWhorey than we have seen from M&L. Other couples have broken up 10 times and gotten back together and in one case got married, in another case moved in together...and yet here are Mark & Lexie, in love but apart and hurting each other. I'm pretty sick of SR just stringing us McSexie fans along just keep us watching just in case she puts them back together but from what I can see really has no intention of doing so. It's pretty sad to get to the point where you have no hope but don't really care that much anymore. I have feeling my Thursday's are going to freed up to watch something else pretty soon as I'm sick to death of being manipulated.
Day 04 - The pairing with the most chemistry?
Of all time? Jack & Jennifer, DAYS. Once upon a time I hated Jack Devereaux and would never have believed I would ever tolerate looking at him again after what he did to Kayla. Instead he turned out to be the most fascinating character ever on DAYS and teaming him with innocent Jennifer was pure platinum. From their first scene in the newspaper office I was hooked. Definitely not the best kissers by any means, but their characters were a joy to watch. I still watch my old VCR tapes of them from time to time. They are definitely my all time favorite.
Currently? Tie between Mark & Lexie (Grey's) and Michael & Fiona (Burn Notice). I may be a tad more passionate about Mark & Lexie because of all the wonderful people I have met that love them too. But when Michael wraps his arms around Fi and engulfs her in those arms it is like 2 people become 1. I also get a kick out of seeing Michael flustered when Fi outrageously flirts with him. It is usually when he has a drill in his hands. LOL
Day 05 - The pairing with the least chemistry?
George and Izzie (Grey's)...I tend to want to vomit every time I see them as lovers. Great as best friends, absolutely wretched as a couple.
Vanessa and Anyone (Gossip Girl)..I actually do vomit a little in my mouth every time I see her with anyone. Put her in bed with someone and I want to gouge my eyes out. The actress is one of, if not the, worst I have ever seen and has no chemistry with everyone, which is why they have had her bed every guy on the show trying to get something to spark for her. Next up is probably Dan's dad (forget his name). I'm getting my hot poker out ready to stab myself in the eye...and I don't even watch that show anymore. How sad is that? They should have recast or killed her off after her first episode.
Day 06 - The best kiss?
Does this have to be TV kiss? Cause hands down the best kiss I have ever seen on film is the kiss between Timothy Olyphant and Jennifer Garner in Catch and Release. That man can kiss!
On TV...Damon and who he thought was Elena but was really Katherine in The Vampire Diaries S1 finale. That man can kiss!
Day 07 - The most heartbreaking scene?
So many to choose from it is impossible to select just one. Here are a few that still make me cry:
Jack & Jennifer (DAYS) - when he is trying to find out what is wrong and he kisses her roughly and she screams "Rapist" at him. Don't get me wrong, he did rape Kayla. That rape was not forgotten, ever. For years he has tried to forgive himself and get forgiveness from others. Kayla did eventually forgive him and while they will never be close and it will never be forgotten, she saw that he was very sincere in his apologies and that he did change. But before all the forgiveness, Jennifer was the only person that believed in him and loved him. He absolutely adored her. When she screamed that after so many times telling him that she didn't look at him that way, he was heartbroken...crushed beyond belief. Of course he did not know that she wasn't calling him that but was instead reliving her own rape.
Jack & Jennifer (DAYS) - When Jennifer finally told Jack that she was raped. I cried for Jennifer, I cried for Jack. Gut wrenching scenes.
Mark & Lexie (Grey's) - S6 finale when Lexie told a thought to be dying Alex that she loved him. That look on Mark's face nearly killed me. I was devastated for him.
Bo & Hope (DAYS) - On that stupid island, after that stupid ship wreck, and Isabelle's father captured Hope and put her in that cage and then allowed her to say good-bye to Bo. I still cry at that. And at her memorial service when Bo finally shows up and says that he doesn't believe she isn't dead but that he misses her...alot. I lose it just thinking about it. Heartbreaking.
Michael & Fiona (Burn Notice) - S3 when Fiona has hoped for so long that Michael will give up his pursuit of trying to get his old job back and that they could try to be together and Michael falls back on that old argument of "if you really care about me" and not only chooses his old job over Fi but also makes her feel guilty if she doesn't help him get it. Fiona's eyes filled with tears even as she agreed to help him and left. Gabrielle Anwar nailed that scene. I have to say that she and Jeffrey Donovan (Michael) are both so good at that eyes filled with tears but none actually falling scenes. They both show heartbreak and pain so well that it just intensifies every scene they are in.
