One-Shot Fic Recommendations

I'm slowly getting back into the fanfiction mood but don't really want to get into a multi-chapter fic until I'm in the mood to do so.  So I'm looking back and trying to find some of my favorite Mark & Lexie One (or two)-shots.  Got any suggestions?  And if so, why do you love it so much?

I might also mention that Mere has some wonderful CRF (cutting room floor) fics. Most of which are one-shots. They are perfect for adding a missing scene into an episode or to change what happened or didn't happen. I really loved the one she did after this season's premiere. It was a much needed scene.

I loved her fifth season CRF stories! I have read them countless times. I only read a few of her sixth season ones since I stopped watching. I haven't read her seventh season one just because I'm not watching and I hate reading anything that has to do with the show. I'm strange like that lol

We all have quirks like that. I'm like that about AU fics. Just can't get into them. By AU I mean when the characters have totally different backgrounds or totally different lives than the one that is canon. I don't care if they go AU after the canon, but it is rare that I really love a fic that is totally AU because then they aren't the characters that I loved enough to read a fic about. If that makes sense.

lol You probably hate my AU stories then. I didn't know that!

I'm sorry. I thought I told you that before as to why I wasn't reading one of your AUs. Sometimes I will try them out (any AUs, not just yours) but very very very few AU fics catch or hold my interest for long. It is certainly not personal, I hope you know that.

:( I guess since I'm not watching the show anymore, I'm not really following canon... I guess we can still talk on my life updates :)

No...that's not what I meant by AU. I meant that I like characters to stay true to their backgrounds through to the show. If you pick a place...say after the penis breakage and then go on your own way of how you want the story, then that to me is just telling your story your own way

I just probably won't if Lexie is suddenly the missing princess from a foreign land and Mark was a secret agent sent to kill her and they both also happen to be doctors. You get my drift. LOL

Well, damn it, Holly... this is a brilliant idea - I may have to write it. Kidding!

And I totally understand what you mean now. Thank you for explaining - I feel like I'm being so difficult lol
