Why do you have to guess the murder weapon?
I would think something like "the motive" would be a little more true to reality, in all honesty, as that's usually a bit more obscure (at least initially). But the weapon? If this were true to life, shouldn't that be a little obvious?
I mean, I'm no forensic scientist, but I know a thing or two about some stuff. I'm pretty sure that if there were a body in front of me with an obvious wound of some type that appears to have caused its death, I wouldn't be standing around with my stunningly-dressed and color-coordinated friends completely clueless (haw) as to what caused it. Shouldn't common sense factor in here? Last I checked, bullet holes don't resemble ligature marks or stab wounds.
Sure, there's probably some questionable overlap with the blunt objects, but I would imagine that a candlestick would make a different imprint into the skull than a pipe or wrench.
Just saying.
