So apparently Focus on the Family's action group is conducting a little survey right now, trying to figure out how they can more effectively attempt to poison my peer group with their god-awful ways.

I, of course, being of sound mind and plenty of rage, decided to voice my opinion.

What are the social and political issues you care about?
Making sure that women have unfettered access to reproductive freedom and equal rights, and that LGBT folks are treated fairly and equally, and respected.

How do you decide what issues are most important?
If a middle-aged white heterosexual able-bodied Christian male of middle to upper class is against it, chances are I'm championing it.

What can we do to reach your generation with a conservative message (what obstacles do we need to overcome)?
I think you're doing a great job as it is, because you're slowly making my generation realize how horribly out-of-touch and full of hate you all are. Nothing brings me joy more than seeing my peers shoot down your mentality for what it really is, in favor of a more inclusive, peaceful, loving way of life that accepts ALL people regardless of what some dusty impertinent tome says is right or wrong. Times are changing and will continue to change, and eventually your repugnant messages of discrimination and hate will be buried under a new way of life. I can't wait for that day.

How would you change the way groups like Focus on the Family Action engage in culture or politics?
I'd love to see them stripped of their tax-exempt status, as if they're going to continue to get involved politically, they're really violating a handful of different facets of tax code. Not quite fair, as all the liberal organizations I've been involved with (and that's many) really do things by the book while Focus On The Patriarchy is allowed to skate by doing whatever they please. I can only imagine what sort of sordid acts are performed behind closed doors to keep blind eyes turned to that.

What inspires you to get involved in a political cause?
The drive to see freedom, respect, safety and equality afforded to people of all sexual orientations, races, gender identities, physical/mental abilities and socioeconomic strata.

How can we help equip you to make a difference in your community, country, and world?
Actually, just keep doing what you're doing. Why, you ask? Simple. Knowing that you're out there trying to oppress people like me makes me all the more committed to fighting for my rights and the rights of all other people of marginalized groups.

Tee hee.

politics, people just ain't no good, religious fucktards, win!, i amuse myself, women's rights, lgbtq
