My glance turns to a stare...
For a good year now I've been fighting with myself over the idea for a sort of historical science fiction novel, and for that very same year I have been beating my head against the wall without starting a single thing, despite buying dozens of books and used magazines for research on the time period and subject matter.
Why does this plague me so, you ask?
I can't figure out how the book ends, and if I can't figure out how it's going to end, I can't figure out how it's going to start.

Seriously, this is so frustrating. I also had another post-apocalyptic story idea that I REALLY liked but I also couldn't successfully plot half the storyline, and as thus, only had about three working sentences that I liked. Sigh. What happened to my skill? :(
