4. Personality: Mimmi, in the long run, is a caring person. She is naturally very motherly and will take the time to look after anyone if given the chance. And while she can be loving, she can also be stern. She won't hesitate to lecture you if she thinks you need it. Family is very important to her, because in the long run family is all she has, and without them she'd have nothing.
However, thanks to the struggles in her life, Mimmi has a tendency to be paranoid and not overly trusting of strangers. She worries excessively over those she cares about and lives in an almost constant state of anxiety. Though not quick to anger, once her temper flares she can stay angry for a long time and isn't quick at forgiving. Getting herself into trouble is the very last thing she wants, but she isn't a doormat. She won't let you walk all over her and will at least attempt to defend herself. Her views on life and people can change depending on her mood, but she has a tendency to be a glass half-full kind of person. Most of the time. She likes to think there's some sort of hope remaining, even if she doesn't exactly believe it herself. With no hope, why bother?
When it comes to people outside her family and the people she cares about, Mimmi is very timid and reluctant to open up, especially when authority figures are involved. Though not necessarily shy, she's endured enough isolation and discrimination in her life that it's hard for her to just "be herself". She isn't all that wonderful at social interactions, either, and can be awkward. She's skittish with physical contact and prefers to initiate it herself. But once someone manages to break through her shell, Mimmi is a genuinely cheerful person. And even if you don't, she's still pleasant to be around. When calm, she's polite, modest, and patient.
And when all is well, Mimmi loves nothing more than to curl up with a good story and someone she cares for.
5. Previous Game Developments: So. One day, Mimmi ended up on a magical cruise ship called the Elegante. (She found out she'd been there once before, too). The Elegante was possibly the best and worst thing that happened in her life. At first, it was pretty strange and terrifying. But after spending a year and a half on board, her perceptions changed.
Mimmi made and lost many friends. She mothered a bunch of misfits and even took over a coffee shop to spend the time. She also died several times. But she came to call the ship her home and didn't dream of ever going back to Germany, no matter how much she missed her family.
She did a lot of growing and maturing while on board, and became less sweet in the process. Though still her normal self, she can be bitter and not nearly as optimistic as she used to be. She can even get violent if a situation calls for it, and isn't easily deterred by danger. Especially after the ship arrived at their destination, the Golden Shore, and found it was a horrible wasteland.
But hey, at least she still had her friends.
6. Appearance: Mimmi is 5'3” and thin. She has a bunch of freckles all over her face. Her eyes are hazel and she has brown, wavy hair that she always keeps tied back. She's light skinned (but due to several excessive sunburns, she's a lot more tan now ahahaha).
Mimmi likes to dress modestly, with floral prints and buttons if possible.
Her PB is Elizabeth Rice.
7. Abilities: Mimmi has no special abilities. But she can make a mean cup of coffee and she's really good with kids. 8D

11. Writing sample - Third Person Prose: If she slept at all she couldn't remember it. She didn't feel tired. In fact, she didn't feel much of anything at the moment. Time flew by in an incomprehensible blur, and she was only faintly aware of what was going on around her. She knew, at the very least, that she was huddled up on a train, going somewhere. Somewhere safe, supposedly. But the only thing she could really concentrate on was the cold, twisted feeling in the pit of her stomach that told her to run. The longer she stayed on this train, the greater their chance of getting caught.
Whenever she closed her eyes the events of the past few days played backwards and forwards in her mind.
It had been her mother's birthday. Birthdays were always a cause of celebration and Mimmi had set forth on a mission with her brother Paul to make a cake. With what little rations they had, there wasn't much to offer, and she'd gone so far as to beg others for anything they could spare. Anything at all. If only to make the day a little more special for everyone. There were no presents, and there was no party, but there was cake.
In the middle of the festivities a man had barged in, flinging the door aside. The image of the man was forever burned into her mind. Disheveled, gasping for breath, eyes bulging with fear and panic as he leaned heavily against the door frame. The only words he said still chilled her.
They're coming.
Mimmi had felt numb; they all did, staring at the man in disbelief. And then chaos broke out. The cake was forgotten, dumped haphazardly to the floor. The warm, joyful mood had frozen over. It had caught them all off guard. They'd known beforehand that it was only a matter of time before they came to drag everyone away. And they'd planned ahead. They'd packed, they'd saved anything they could bear to give up, they'd prayed. They were going to flee, to escape, even if it killed them.
But this was too soon. Mimmi knew there wasn't much of a chance; it was much too short notice. But they took their bags and Mimmi grabbed her sister's hand and they ran. They ran, and they ran, and they ran and it seemed to her that they'd never stop running. Because, really, they couldn't afford to. And when Mimmi finally stopped running it felt like years had passed. They were greeted by kindly faces and ushered inside for the night. Maybe two. No one slept, no one ate, no one said a word. But Mimmi wept.
And then she was on a train, going somewhere she couldn't remember, but somewhere supposedly safe.
But that was all the hope she needed.
12. Writing sample - First Person: I suppose, when I look back on it, it was not quite as miserable as I thought it was at the time. Or perhaps it was even more so. I cannot say how much I remember is strictly accurate between what I have forgotten and what was exaggerated in my mind. For what it is worth, we did live in relative comfort. It was not necessarily the nicest of places, and if given the choice I would not willingly have spent any time there myself, but considering our position it was probably better than it could have been.
The waiting aspect of the entire thing was probably the worst. While we hid all we had was time, and in such times of stress idle time can result unkindly. I was frightened, we all were, and it was hard not to imagine the sound of footsteps drawing nearer or that every little sound could be heard miles away, alerting the entire world of our presence. It might have been enjoyable had it not been for our fears. We were all together, after all, and in relatively good health. Food was still scarce, the beds were uncomfortable, and there was little to no privacy at any given time. Finding something to do with all that time was near impossible.

Mimmi spent a year and a half aboard a magical cruise ship called the M.S. Elegante. If the fact she was suddenly out in the open aboard a ship didn't weird her out enough, finding out she'd been there before and had no knowledge of it freaked her out more.
So, suffice to say, in the beginning, she hated that damn ship and it's Captain and everyone on it. She missed her family, everything on the ship was weird (bears prepared sushi, she was swamped by talking goats, everyone went crazy and started proposing or hugging one another without reason, and she was stalked by a love-sick seagull named Lenny who she never did find out was a bird, among other things, and most of these occurred within her first few months).
But, as is accustomed for most people, she eventually found herself growing used to, and even enjoying, the eccentricities of boat life. She was free to roam around without prosecution, the food was plentiful, and she made many, many friends. There came a point where she realized she would much prefer to stay on board the ship rather than be sent back home, her family or not. It became her new home. (Her sister eventually made an appearance on the ship, much to her pleasure).
Even with the benefits the boat provided, the Elegante offered some less enjoyable situations, and made her grow into a more pessimistic and less naïve young woman. She found out hr homeworld was destroyed, her family along with it. It turned out that the passengers who disappeared from the ship were also dead. Although many doubted the truth behind this news, Mimmi took it and full-heatedly believed it, for she was convinced the crew of the Elegante had no reason to lie. It was upsetting for sure, and something she dwelled upon with a vengeance, but she worked through it. When new passengers arrived, she told them what she knew, and left it up to them to decide to believe it or not.
While on board, Mimmi died twice. And got into a fight with another passenger I won't name any name's Tony. Her first death was a cataclysm of some rowdy lower-deck passengers attempting to escape, while her second death was the result of a hasty, dangerous new passenger. She got over her deaths as well as anyone who was murdered and spontaneously brought back to life could. (And she never forgave Tony. She caught him attacking a child and there was no holding her back at that point. She'd lost enough children. The day he disappeared was a very happy day in Mimmi's book.)
Her friendships were very important to her. Mimmi became a boat-mom of sorts, and throughout her time on board she took several people under her wing and mothered them excessively, whether they wanted her to or not (coughbasscough). Lucien, Billy, Oleg, Lily and (especially) Bass, all became targets of her affection. She loved them dearly and used them as a support system. As long as they were around, she could be strong. When the majority of her not!children disappeared, leaving behind mainly Bass (even her sister vanished), Mimmi was devastated. She only got through it with the help of her long-time best friend Gideon.
Gideon was someone Mimmi very much cherished. They were always there for each other and Mimmi depended on him when she couldn't depend on herself. She eventually developed some unacknowledged feelings for him, but nothing really came about it since Gideon was already dating another woman.
And Mimmi actually found several people she disliked on board. Tony, for one. Another passenger named Erol who just had a horrible reputation to begin with. A girl named Azula who had ideals that reminded her of Nazi's. And, lastly, a man named Jak. Especially Jak. She hates Jak because he killed Oleg, and a person who murders children has no bounds for forgiveness. And then there was Jinx, who Mimmi thought was a creep but he thought she was a heavenly goddess or something and at the end she really had no idea what to think of him at all.
Previous Game Stuff Part 2missmimmiAugust 7 2011, 00:04:57 UTC
After everything, the ship finally arrived at its destination, the Golden Shore. But this didn't happen without a few bumps in the road. The ship was attacked by a thing known as The End, mayhem broke out, people died, the entirety of the crew and the infamous Captain James Wolfgang Redd sacrificed themselves to destroy The End, and the passengers were left with a shamble of a ship to guide themselves. The Shore turned out to be a horrible wasteland with dead bodies everywhere (because the bad guy won) and that was the end of that.
Mimmi nearly lost it. And became depressed. But she still had Gideon and Bass, which were definitely something.
