it's 6:36 and i get off work at 7, but i've reached the end of the internet. i'm sooooooo bored. the semester is almost over, which means that there is very little work to be done. let me think. ah, yes, i remember what i did today. i went over to a classroom to fix a problem that didn't exist. i surfed the web the rest of the day. that said, come Summer, my workload will increase drastically as that's when we will be bringing 40 new rooms online with AV technology. i've figured out how to control Crestron AV processors with my iPhone. neat!
i've begun work on a song, but it's moving slowly. that said, i have ideas still where i want to take it, so this might bear fruit. i'm finding that Logic 8, which i bought more than a year ago, but hardly used, has a lot of very cool features that are making the process for me easier than it's ever been, which is super cool. my solution to my drum machine problem thus far has been to bend myself to work with Ultrabeat in Logic. i'm finding it workable, though it has some weird limitations. it has an editing mode that i love (basically fill in boxes on a grid), but if you use that mode, you're limited to 4 bars in the line. what the fuck?
i discovered that i really like Bloc Party. i've had their music for years and even listened to a couple (always the same couple) of their songs every now and then and liked them, but i never, for whatever reason, gave the rest of the album a chance. they're really quite good. also i have tickets to see NIN's last tour (maybe ever =( ) with Jane's Addiction.
