I learned something today: Never go to a club that advertizes itself as a "mix" club, unless you have a REALLY open mind.
Let me explain. I decided to go clubbing tonight, mostly because Emily revealed that she was going to a party, and I figured if SHE can bounce back and go to a party a mere 2 days after her boyfriend leaves, then there's no reason I can't go out and have fun either! (That's right, I can build a social life out of spite)
So I decided to go to a new club I have never been to. Well, first I took a detour to Shana's because she had called me right before her power went out and I didn't get th message. After that, I decided to go to this club called the Zoo. Now, I had heard rumors about this club, but since I don't believe such things, I decided to check it out for myself.
Well, it hit me about 2 seconds after walking in that this club was a bit...different. My first hint was one cowboy sitting with his arm around another cowboy. Okay, then there was the dancefloor populated by only women...who were dancing unusualy close to each other. Okay, nothing I haven't seen before. Next I saw to other guys making out in a corner, and I realized EXACTLY what kind of club I was in. I felt as out of place as Barney at an NRA meeting.
Despite the fact that I knew this was not any place I should be, I decided to stay. What can I say, I hate blowing a cover charge. This club ended up being unendingly hilarious. I met new people, learned that San Angelo has a thriving gay community, and even saw some women that looked like a few of my ex-girlfriends. All in all, It was a good place and I had some fun, who knows, maybe I'll go back someday.
And maybe bats will fly out of my ass
Also, the entire time I was there, despite what was playing on the speakers, I could not get
This Song out of my head
