Today I started my day with a mile run.
It was nice, and refreshing.
In Machine Design we discussed more on finite element analysis.
We also got the information necessary to start our project.
We have to take a specified motor and create a transmission with a two-stage gear reduction, having a total reduction of 10:1, and the input and output shafts must be oriented 90º apart.
We have to design the gears, shafts, shaft keys, splines, and any other part that is involved.
Should be interesting.
I think I'm going to start on it a bit this Friday.
During lunch there was an ECS (Engineering and Computer Sciences) barbeque, and the engineers piled in for free food.
System Design touched a little more on thermal systems, but not in great detail.
After school got out I had to head back home to take David to class tonight, since my Dad was at an event for his school.
Once David was dropped off I headed back to campus, played a game of pool, and met up with Lyn for Salsa.
Well, not before showing her sister Deanna "The Great Mighty Poo" in Conker's Bad Fur Day.
Salsa was great tonight though. The founder of the club, Felix [insert last name] was here tonight, and did a great job of instructing.
Lyn and I danced a lot tonight and had a blast. Dancing for three hours is tiring, but a lot of fun.
I want to pick up on a few more styles of dancing some time, I think.
