Soooo... Again, long time no update.
I am now pony-less. Merlin lives with new people (I still own him though) and he's happy, so I'm happy. There was a time when I thought I'd die without him, and when it came to saying goodbye I felt like dying. But a couple of days later I was fine. For the first time in my life I don't have restrictions on my life. Ok, so I still have work to get around, but not having a horse makes an enormous difference in the time I spend a) doing nothing and b) doing something. Currently I'm doing a bit of something and a bit of nothing, so it kind of balances out. I wouldn't have been about to go to Manchester this week if I still had Merlin.
Halloweeeeeeeen!
The highlight of my year! Had a FABULOUS time, although sorting out my costume was a bit of a bastard. I dragged poor Joe around Nottingham in search of a Little Red Riding Hood outfit (the shop that I'd seen it in was CLOSED on Halloween!?!) I eventually bought a black cape and some red gloves and went as a sexy vampire. Kirsty the Rasta went as a pirate and Joe went as... himself. :p We had fun; got drunk and danced to Patchwork Grace. A guy dressed up as BATMAN! Hehe, so cool.
On Tuesday Joe and I went to Manchester. Twas very rainy and chilly, but fun. We went to see The Brothers Grimm on Thursday. I loved it, although parts of it scared the crap out of me. (Yes, I know it's a 12A!) Friday we went to a fun fair & fireworks night. The field was horribly muddy. I'm sure the Ghost Train was the same one me & Kirsty went on at Ilkeston Fair! I don't like fireworks, the bangs scare me... But they are kinda pretty...
Getting home was a nightmare today. There were maintenance works on the lines, so I had to get a bus to Hazel Grove, a train to Sheffield then a train to Nottingham. It added over an hour to my journey and caused me a lot of stress. Fucking trains, I hate them.
