- The girls are now three as of last Friday. Brad and I took the day off to spend the day with the girls (Brad's first vacation day since he started at HomeSpice). The girls got a call from my brother, Nathan, who is currently deployed - they were happy to hear from him and amazed that he could call so far away. We went to the aquarium for our last visit on our annual pass. I got grumpy with the staff and we got to see the penguins - I apologized after. Then we went to Grant Park and had lunch with Brad's brother, Bruce, and then went to the zoo. It was great to be in a pratically empty zoo and we really got to enjoy our time with the girls and the animals.
- Saturday, very low key and a visit with my sister in law and nephew.
- Sunday we had the Mines girls out for a real tea party and the mommies were able to finally chat for a few moments... we need more of those moments. El is such a lady and Carter is a cutie pie... though they are not really twins I can see that the Mines are going to have similar problems as we are come the teen years ;)
Grandparents and my aunt and uncle came by to spoil the girls... all in all it was a perfectly relaxing and low profile weekend.
The girls room is finally finished and they loved showing it off to everyone that came to the house. I posted pictures and video up on Facebook for those that are curious.
So now I have three year olds, they continue to amaze me every day and I am overwhelmed at how truly blessed I am to have them in our lives.
