I got a 'Sticky Fingers'
For the last few weeks we've had to randomly check Anya's school bag before coming home... seems she likes the school magnetic wands and sometime during the day packs them in her bag. The funny thing is when I checked yesterday infront of her regular teacher the teacher was completely shocked. "I never saw her over here. They follow me around all day. When did she do that?" Now I'm not concerned that my kids are not being watched, I'm quite happy with our daycare/school and their teachers.
But really, my kids has picked up a bad habit and is really good at it. I might add that before the age of one she caught a fly with her thumb and index finger - sure the fly was slow and not super fast. Maybe I"m raising a ninja spy. She is the more clumsy of the two and much more vocal and dramatic, really I would have expected this behavior out of Lex. Maybe that is why she will be so successful.
So I'm having the talks about stealing and make her put the toys back... I don't know how much it is sinking in though because she just smiles proudly at me. At the store her and Lexi begin to lecture me as we are pulling up to the checkout that I "have to pay the lady/man." So I'm not really worried about this catching on in retail, still.
